Mr. Gerry

Gerry Burns developed a passion for the piano in seventh grade. Gerry started performing professionally at the age of sixteen in Chicago. He studied music at Daley College and DePaul University School of Music. While attending DePaul University he studied classical piano with Mary Sauer, principal pianist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Gerry’s interest in music extends into jazz, blues, rock, Latin, country, as well as classical music.

Gerry has performed worldwide with shows in Venezuela, Finland, Indonesia, Canada, Poland, The Republic of Congo, just to name a few. He continues to perform regularly throughout the Chicagoland area. In 1994 Gerry founded Blue Island Music. Blue Island Music provides private music lesson on a variety of instruments. The music school has lessons for children and adults. They teach all styles of music and have instruments and supplies for sale.
